Descriptions:

On May 13th, 1985, the city of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on a rowhome in a quiet, middle-class, Black neighborhood called Cobbs Creek. Eleven people were killed — six adults and five children. The youngest was nine years old. Sixty-one homes were destroyed. More than 250 people were left homeless. The fire department stood by and watched it burn.

No city official was ever criminally charged.

This is the full story of the MOVE organization — from its founding by John Africa in 1972, to the 1978 Powelton Village standoff, to the military-style assault on Osage Avenue, to the MOVE 9 spending forty years in prison, to the discovery that children’s remains were kept on an Ivy League shelf for three decades. Every claim in this documentary is sourced and fact-checked.
